Linux Rocks!

Specifically, Imagemagick Rocks. I just re-sized and converted 225 Tiffs to Gifs in about 1 minute or less. Then I wrote a script to normalize the filenames to the standard I was shooting for in about and ran it in 2 minutes.

I just had to throw that out there today. 😉

You Know Those Christmas Lights everyone emails?

I think that everyone with an internet connection and email have probably seen the video of the Christmas Light show with the rocking music. I mean it is the hotest thing going in email since, “Meslissa”, or “I Love you”.

Anyway, because of the Big Media Coverage, it has caused so much attention that everyone wants to see it…and it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

Read the article and if you haven’t seen the video watch it at the link below.

Firefox and Google..It pays!

Ok, I know that this is a little…jumping on the bandwagon…however, I put a referral link to Firefox with the google toolbar on my site, and for each time that someone clicks on it, Google pays me a dollar. I like Firefox, so I figured what the heck…I put it on there and within a few minutes I saw a dollar show up in my account.

SO if you were thinking of getting Firefox to browse the web instead of Internet Explorer just visit the link on the righthand side of my site!

Free iPod? Does this work?

I signed up for an account over at freeipods.com. I have heard of people doing this and I wonder if this actually works. I am trying it because I want to talk about it on my podcast, Technorama.

To make this work, you have to sign up for an account, accept one of their offers, and get 5 friends to sign up also using your referral. I signed up and accepted the offer for the Rhapsody service which was only 99 cents. Just watch out for all the other offers for stuff as you are setting up your account.

If you use my referral code by clicking here, let me know, I will reciprocate.

I know this sounds like an piece of spam, but what do you do? I will probably regret putting this up.

What if Microsoft Gave Away Vista?

This would prove to be interesting, but I have my doubts. Purchasing is a form of validation. I think that is a lot of why Linux isn’t on more desktops.

The news has been around, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer says the development process at Microsoft has to change after Windows Vista.
