Mass., Microsoft Office, and ODF

Looks like Mass. is going to use the ODF plugin on MS Office instead of moving to OpenOffice all together as ZDNet Reports.

Is this good? I think so. I don’t have a problem with anyone using Microsoft Office, I do have a problem with requiring people to use Microsoft Office to view public documents or do business with your customers. This has been an MS problem for a long time, locking customers in with propritary formats. This should force them to compete on features, which Office is good at.

A little Refresh is good…

Today I made a few changes to Spyndle.com, like the color and the header image. I like it so far. (Hate to see Bender go though *sniff*) And there are a few more in store soon.

Now if you don’t listen to Technorama (and you should), you may have missed that I am working on a webcomic and a accompanying podcast. It is all coming together, and I am inching closer, and closer. So watch this space as I will start posting stuff this week!

Excelsior! Oh wait that is taken…
Spoon! That is taken too..
Ah…I’ll work on my own catch phrase.

New Airport Security Measures

Not to make too much lite of the situation..but I saw pictures of bins full of liquids that people were told that they could not take on planes, and there was a lot!

When I saw these pictures I couldn’t help but wonder how much weight that shaved off of each flight. I bet it was a lot.

Apple Rumors

Everyone and their brother is talking about Apple Rumors ahead of next weeks Steve Jobs keynote. But look at these images on Gizmodo found here are supposed to have come from Apples Website!

I call BS! The Darth Vader on that one pic is a crop from a Wallpaper I made years ago! That Darth Vader was a Vinyl Statue I made to look like he was holding a “real” saber.
