Whao. Imagine my surprise when I logged in today (on Valentine’s) and found my Google Docs all Pinkifed.
Ok, It was a nice surprise.
Look What I Found
…and so with this marks the close of a pretty good day. Today was my latest birthday which brings the total up to 39. 39 fun and interesting years.
As I have gotten older it is hard not to think about missed opportunities, and things I should have done. I have no real regrets, but I know I need to focus on the things I have accomplished.
I have a family with a wonderful wife, and son. I have a nice home for us to live. I have made lots of interesting friends through Technorama and podcasting, and that is what it is all about. I always believed that Family and friends were the most important thing a guy could have.
So, as I close in on the big 40 coming up on the horizon next year, I see nothing but air and opportunity between me and it, and I plan on making the best of it.
Cheers.
A friend reminded me that Nasa has a probe that will be visiting Mercury on Jan 14th. This is the first visit to the planet in 33 years. Below is a link to a gallery at new.com showing some pictures as it nears.

Over this last weekend, at the Arts Council in Rock Hill, SC “Vandals” (I have other names, but I will refrain) climbed over the walls of these artists studios and defaced, and in some cases destroyed art that has a lot of time an care put into.
My mother’s studio is across from Phil, named in the article, was also broken into and had paintings knocked over, etc.
This is, I think, a view of a larger problem in todays world. Respect of others.

“It’s a real shame that the people who did this have so little respect for the hard work and heart that have gone into these art pieces,” said Lyn Garris, spokeswoman for the city of Rock Hill. “It’s sad that people would opt to spend their time doing malicious things like this.”

If there is something I really love this time of year, is the Christmas Light Displays and with all the computer controlled goodness it really let’s people use their imagination.
I will keep an updated list here of all the online versions that I find interesting this year:
