I understand that David Letterman is a celebrity, and that usually brings out the oddness in some people, but come on!
The restraining order requests that
…stay at least three yards away and not “think of me, and release me from his mental harassment and hammering.”
I doubt he new her, and you know taking a restraining order out didn’t help with the “Think of me” part.

SANTA FE, N.M. – Attorneys for television talk show host David Letterman want a judge to quash a restraining order granted to a Santa Fe woman who contends the celebrity used code words to show that he wanted to marry her and train her as his co-host.
This blows. I was hoping to see another movie based on Firefly or at least a TV movie. Just goes to show the good die young.

Finally, it is here, at least it will be here Monday! This Christmas I have had the great opportunity to work with my friends with The Friends in Tech podcast group, and create something that I am very proud of.
Over the last 4 weeks we have created from disparate regions of America utilizing the internet, and true grit … A Geek Christmas Carol. It has turned out better than I could have hoped for. Everyone stepped up, and turned in quality work.

Cool! Here is an anti-phishing tool for Firefox from Google…I think that this is great, because sometimes it isn’t easy to detect phishing sites.
I will start off by saying that I am not the biggest Howard Stern fan…That said, do I think that his move is a watershed movement against censorship or a shift from traditional radio? No. That movement started last year with podcasting…
Last year, we saw a big explosion of podcasts from people that want to be heard, and as a listener I can choose what I want to listen to. Be it Science, News, Humorous or Explicit, it is available for everyone to hear, world wide. Not just Satellite radio subscribers only in the US. I say that is the thumbing the nose to censorship and a shift from traditional radio.
I am sure that Howard Stern will be entertaining without his constraints to regular radio markets…but think of this…Why pay for Satellite Radio to listen to Howard Stern and all the100’s of other channels and shows that you will never listen to (You can’t there just isn’t that much time) when you can take that monthly payment, get an mp3 player, and support some podcasters and pick and choose the Free content that is available to you. I will dare say that podcasts are more entertaining, because the people that make them want to…and are not just getting paid to do it.

The pervasiveness of material that historically has been deemed objectionable has proved almost impossible to avoid in an increasingly digitized world. Already, some studies claim that exposure to readily accessible online pornography has fundamentally altered youths’ attitudes toward sexual behavior.
Some of these pictures crack me up…especially the poor Santas that look like they have had it, need a drink or already had too many.

This is pretty cool! It takes how ever many songs you tell it out of your iTunes and makes a “Signature” of your music.
It takes little samples and overlays, and strings them together to make a wav file that reflects your music library.
Here is my 60sec one. Now this is off of my laptop and it has mostly sweepers and ID’s for my podcast, Technorama.

Oh this is BIG news. Apparently you can start to get Video podcasts on your Tivo.
I say this is big news because think…No big studios, content that you can create coming to Living Rooms everywhere.
Also with recent changes with iTunes with TV shows coming to the internet doesn’t this all seem a little ironic. I mean Podcasts coming to TV and TV going to the internet…and Cat’s and Dogs living together! Mass Hysteria!
